Marwilak Foundation Uplifts Youth Through Mentorship and Empowerment at South Labone Girls’ Technical Institute & Resurrection Methodist Academy

On August 16th and 21st, 2024, the MARWILAK Foundation furthered its mission to inspire, educate, and empower the next generation through impactful mentorship sessions held at South Labone Girls’ Technical Institute and Resurrection Methodist Academy.

These sessions were more than events—they were powerful moments of connection and transformation. Executives and members of the foundation shared heartfelt words of wisdom, motivation, and practical life advice, offering themselves as mentors and role models for the students.

At South Labone Girls’ Technical Institute, the program guided nearly 200 students through sessions focused on career prospects in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET). Led by Mr. Baffour Prempeh Agyemang, the mentorship session debunked misconceptions surrounding TVET and shed light on the wide range of promising career opportunities within the field. Legal expert Ms. Nelly Bernice Wallace Esq. delivered a special keynote, encouraging students to pursue their dreams boldly and wisely.

In addition to mentorship, health awareness was a key pillar of the initiative. Ms. Adwoa Serwah led an informative health session, focusing on menstrual hygiene and the importance of self-care. The Foundation also distributed sanitary pads to female students, ensuring no young woman is held back by a lack of access to basic health essentials.

At Resurrection Methodist Academy, MARWILAK extended its commitment by conducting a book drive and distributing educational materials to support learning. Members once again made themselves available for open dialogue with students—listening, guiding, and nurturing their ambitions.

Across both schools, the joy on the faces of students and the heartfelt gratitude expressed spoke volumes. These mentorship programs served not only to inform but also to uplift, planting seeds of confidence, clarity, and hope in the hearts of many.

As always, the MARWILAK Foundation stands committed to nurturing dreams, one student at a time.
